Mia in a nutshell: I probably should begin this series of character portraits introducing you to my father or to Chariss herself or to my wonderful son, but I want to begin with my dear friend. And my fantasy author, Sandy Lender, said that would be just fine.

Mia is a lesser goddess from Mahriket and my best friend. When my lovely mother was killed 500 years ago, Mia stepped in to be my caregiver. She is my rock and my fortress and my center. Every woman needs a friend that she knows she could leave her children with if the unthinkable should happen, a friend that will see her through any and every trial life might bring, and Mia is that amazing, wonderful, constant supporting friend for me.

In the epic fantasy novel Choices Meant for Gods, Mia comes to my aid during an attack by Julette, the very Dragon herself. Then Mia stays at the estate to help with my important guests. She is a true friend, and I value her above diamonds and rubies.
